Study States is a reading group and support network for postgraduates working in any area of American Studies, at any level, based at the University of Birmingham. Through friendly, informal reading groups, we discuss exciting readings across all disciplines (literature, music, art, photography, film, etc.) and share our ideas together. We also discuss each other’s works-in-progress; conferences; publications; funding; and everything else in the academic world.
Study States aims to be as inclusive, accessible, and welcoming as possible and we welcome researchers at any stage in their career to get in touch.
