Discussion
For this session, we’re looking forward to welcoming new and old faces to 2021 Study States and chatting about our research / how life is going during these times. Community and networking is tougher than ever, so it’s important to Study States that we create a community where people feel they can bring research questions, air any grievances and generally find some friendly faces.
For this session, we are inviting all those coming to prepare a short, informal precis / presentation about their research so we can get to know our community a bit better (esp. helpful to new faces). This isn’t mandatory of course, so don’t feel obliged, but we encourage you to get involved if you’d like as it’s a good opportunity to explain your work to a non-specialist audience and, if you wish, to get some feedback and answer some friendly questions.
Your presentation can be as involved as you’d like – PowerPoint etc, or not; scripted, or off the cuff – however you feel most comfortable.
Finally – a big thanks to Yue, one of our community members, for suggesting this as a topic!
